A journey into common types of wine

Wine! It's a journey, NOT a destination.

Wine is made with grapes, but not the typical table grapes you’ll find at the grocery. Wine grapes (latin name: Vitis vinifera) have thick skins, are small, sweet, and contain seeds.

Nog rose in die wingerd en kelder

Vroue in wyn.

Bellpost net buite Vredendal.

Twelve of the most impressive wineries in the world

Where there's wine, there's beauty!

What used to be a visit to a farmer’s simple vineyard followed by the tasting of their wine out in the field – have no fear, this still exists in many places – have become high-end affairs in many locales, with each winery attempting to outdo the other in opulence, writes Adam Teeter. Across the world, architects have built awe-inspiring monuments to the fruit of the vine in some of the most high-end wine regions on earth.

Moldova – The grape country

A long tradition of wine making.

The history of Moldovan wines starts in 3000 BC, although the first vines were recorded there 7000 years BC. Wine used to be utilized as a medium of exchange and a trophy awarded after fights, which has made the wine a national product of Moldova.

Wine additives explained

Additives for wine production.

There is a lot of fear and distrust around the topic of wine additives and it’s not exactly unfounded.
