The acclaimed chef, Eric Bulpitt, opened FABER restaurant on Avondale wine estate outside Paarl – shaking up the Cape winelands culinary landscape!

Avondale is a 300 year old, family-run farm that is situated on Lustigan Road, Klein Drakenstein, Paarl – on the slopes of the Klein Drakenstein Mountains.

Wat kos betref, kan mens kies van eenvoudige en heilsame kuierkos tot haute cuisine, en ’n hele boksemdaais tussenin, en daar is so baie eetplekke op wynplase en by wynmakerye dat mens letterlik vir ’n paar jaar lank elke week by ’n ander plek kan gaan aansit sonder om twee keer na dieselfde eetplek terug te gaan.

GlenWood is a very special place, the brochure says. It goes on: Located in the little-known valley of Robertsvlei, a few kilometres from Franschhoek, this wine farm is surrounded by aspects of outstanding natural beauty. I couldn’t agree more.

In November 2015 GlenWood opened the doors to its Rendezvous Bistro where visitors can enjoy “light, original and imaginative cuisine” while taking in the beauty and pleasures of the secluded valley and the surrounding hills and mountains.
